Onyfix Nail Correction System

Onyfix is an innovative treatment designed to gently correct ingrown and involuted (pincer) toenails. Using a specially developed composite nail brace, Onyfix helps guide the nail into a healthier shape, allowing it to grow out naturally and comfortably.

At our clinics, your podiatrist will customise the Onyfix system to suit your nail and individual needs. The treatment is completely pain-free from beginning to end—no needles, no surgery, and no downtime.

Ingrown and curved toenails can be painful and lead to further complications if left untreated. Onyfix is an excellent alternative for people who may not be ideal candidates for surgery, including those with needle anxiety, diabetes, vascular conditions, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

This versatile and innovative system offers a safe, effective solution for managing ingrown and involuted toenails, giving you relief without the worry.

How Onyfix works

Onyfix is a breakthrough nail correction system that gently guides ingrown or curved toenails back into their natural shape—without surgery, needles, or pain.

A special composite material is applied to the nail and hardened with LED light, creating a flexible “brace” on the nail plate. This brace keeps the nail in the correct position as it grows from the base to the tip, encouraging a healthier growth pattern over time.

The Onyfix brace typically stays on the nail for 2–3 months, moving with the nail as it grows. If needed, additional bands can be applied during your treatment plan to achieve the best outcome.

Most people will need 3–4 applications, spaced about six weeks apart. Once treatment is complete, the brace is removed and your toenail will continue to grow naturally in its improved shape.

How Onyfix Differs from Traditional Nail Bracing

While Onyfix works in a similar way to a nail brace—by guiding the nail into a healthier shape—it does so without the use of wires or hooks. Traditional braces attach under the nail plate and pull on the nail as it grows, which can create tension and discomfort.

Onyfix, on the other hand, uses a hardened composite applied to the surface of the nail. This gently supports the nail to grow back into its natural shape in a completely pain-free and tension-free way.

Traditional nail braces can sometimes cause irritation or inflammation during application and may slip or fall off, particularly when wearing enclosed shoes. Onyfix eliminates these problems, offering a safe, comfortable, and painless alternative for treating ingrown or involuted toenails.
